Mortal Relics

Amulets System
This mod adds different magical amulets with special effects that activate during critical moments, mainly when the player receives fatal damage. Each amulet has its own unique mechanic, allowing the player to survive, protect their items and XP, get a second chance, or even create protective pacts with allies.
These amulets were designed to add more strategy, tension, and survival possibilities to gameplay, especially on servers focused on PvP, adventure, progression, or custom death systems.
Soulguard Amulet

The Soulguard Amulet is focused on protecting the player's belongings.
When the player receives fatal damage, the magical effect "Soulguard" is activated, protecting the player's inventory items and XP. After activation, the amulet is destroyed.
This amulet is ideal for players who want an extra layer of protection against important losses upon death.
Monster Reborn Amulet

The Monster Reborn Amulet grants the player an immediate second chance.
When its wearer receives fatal damage, the power of "Monster Reborn" awakens, causing the player to respawn at the same location where they died. After the effect is activated, the amulet is destroyed.
This amulet is useful in dangerous situations where returning directly to the place of death can completely change the outcome of a battle or exploration.
Phoenix Down Amulet

The Phoenix Down Amulet prevents the player's immediate death by placing them in an incapacitated state.
When the player receives fatal damage, "Phoenix Down" is activated, causing them to fall to the ground instead of dying. While incapacitated, an ally can revive them before the timer runs out. If this happens, the player recovers and the amulet is preserved.
If the timer runs out and no one revives the player, they will still keep their items and XP, but the amulet will be destroyed in the process.
This amulet is ideal for team-based gameplay, encouraging allies to protect and help each other.
Final Stand Amulet

The Final Stand Amulet offers one last chance in combat.
When the player receives fatal damage, "Final Stand" is activated and the player receives the "Death Sentence" effect for a limited time. During this period, the player must eliminate another player before the timer runs out in order to remove the sentence and survive.
When activated, the Final Stand Amulet also grants temporary potion effects to the player. These effects and their duration are defined through the mod configuration, allowing the amulet to be adjusted to fit the balance of each server or modpack.
If the player fails to fulfill the sentence, they will die when the countdown ends. In both cases, the amulet is destroyed after activation, but the player's inventory items and XP are protected.
This amulet was designed for intense PvP moments, where one final move can decide the player's fate.
Lifeline Pact Amulet

The Lifeline Pact Amulet allows the player to create a protective pact with an ally.
By using Shift + right click, the wearer can link their soul to a nearby ally. If that ally receives fatal damage while nearby, part of the wearer's health will be consumed to save them.
This effect can happen up to 2 times. After fulfilling its effect, the amulet is destroyed.
Additionally, if the wearer dies while using this amulet, their items and XP will be protected, and the amulet will be destroyed in the process.
This amulet is recommended for groups, duos, and players who want to protect important allies during combat or dangerous exploration.
Arkham Boss Amulet

The Arkham Boss Amulet is a special relic intended for Staff members.
It carries the secret effects of "Arkham" and has a mysterious purpose within the mod.
Will he escape the "Jackpot" this time?
Ancient Amulets

Some amulets also have an Ancient version.
The Ancient versions keep the main effects of the regular amulets, but carry a special ancestral power.
An ancestral force prevents these items from being destroyed when activated.
Due to their reusable nature, these versions are primarily intended for Staff members, testing environments, special events, debugging, or controlled server scenarios.
Server owners should use them carefully, as unlimited access to these effects may significantly impact gameplay balance.
Notes
- Relics activate only from the Baubles amulet slot.
- Relics do not currently have crafting recipes or mob drops.
- Server configuration controls multiplayer behavior.
- Client-side configuration does not override server rules.
- Ancient variants can be enabled or disabled through server configuration.
