MossyMod

Mesh-powered multiplayer discovery for Minecraft.

MossyMod is an experimental multi-version Fabric mod that brings decentralized peer-to-peer networking into Minecraft using the MOSS mesh networking core.

Instead of relying entirely on traditional server infrastructure, MossyMod allows players to discover friend-hosted worlds across a distributed mesh network and experiment with direct P2P multiplayer connections.

About MOSS

This mod is built on top of MOSS, an embeddable peer-to-peer mesh networking core written in Go and exported through CGO as a native shared library.

MossyMod integrates this networking layer directly into Minecraft to explore decentralized multiplayer architecture and mesh-based world discovery.

Current State

MossyMod is currently considered experimental.

World discovery, diagnostics, and peer management are stable enough for testing and development use, while full gameplay networking compatibility is still actively being improved.

Releases should currently be treated as testing builds unless explicitly marked otherwise.

Included Runtime

The mod automatically bundles required native libraries during the build process, including:

• libmoss
• owo-lib
• jna
• jna-platform

Platform-specific native binaries are downloaded from the latest official MOSS releases and packaged directly into the mod jar.
