The Moon

Welcome to the Moon, a... well, moon, devoid of life and structures. But that's only on the surface. Underground, you can find gold in amounts beyond your wildest dreams. The only challenge is getting there...

How do I get to the Moon?

It is simple enough, actually doing it is harder however. All you need to do is go to Y=330 or above, and there you are! The only problem is you can't build past Y=320. That means you have to find an alternate way to get there, for example an elytra, or a shulker, or something similar to that. This means you have to have gone to the End (or somewhere rare if you find a different way) to get to the Moon.

Why go to the Moon?

There are a few reasons to get to the Moon. The first is to get some peace and quiet if you are in Multiplayer, because everyone needs some time alone sometimes, right? The second is to get the One Small Step advancement, which you can get by just travelling to the Moon, and the third is because the moon is very abundant in gold. In the caves, you can find tons of gold blocks everywhere, which is perfect if you need lots of gold quickly.

Isn't there no oxygen on the Moon?

Correct! Which is why, to survive on the Moon, you will need to wear a helmet of any kind at all times. Otherwise, if you don't bring one you will start to suffocate, and by then it is too late... (I had to go with every helmet since there is no mask or anything in Minecraft)

How do I get out of the Moon?

Simple! All you need to do is the opposite of what you did to get in the Moon. Dig down and fall in the void! Don't worry, you won't die, you get caught and teleported before you even take damage. Note you will spawn in the Overworld relative to where your X and Z coordinates where on the Moon (so you won't spawn at your bed)

Note that endermen, creepers, zombies and skeletons can spawn on the Moon!
The Moon's skybox uses the End one, so custom end sky packs will work with this too!
You get jump boost and slow falling on the Moon since there is low gravity!

Important: I highly recommend you install this on a new world, otherwise the world might break and you would have to edit the level.dat file to fix it! Do not uninstall this otherwise the same thing will happen. If you are using the mod version, be sure to take extra care!
