It was just a flicker. Just a shadow.
I didn’t see anything. I didn’t. I looked and it was gone. It’s always gone.
But the sheep.. the sheep was watching me. I SWEAR IT WAS! Eyes like glass, glowing, staring straight through me until I turned. Then it looked away like nothing happened. Like it didn’t just see me see it. Like it didn't just see me see it seeing me.
That’s not normal. That’s not how animals work. RIGHT?
And the footsteps. They’re behind me. ALWAYS BEHIND ME. I spin around and... nothing. No one. Just wind. Just leaves. Just the game being weird again.
I haven’t slept. Maybe that’s it. Maybe I’m tired. Or maybe… maybe the grass is watching me too. Ha. That’s insane. That’s-
NO. WAIT. Don’t laugh.
You laugh and it knows. You look and it hides. You speak and it listens.
It’s not real. It can’t be real.
Can it?

I highly suggest installing this mod and forgetting about it, without spoilering to yourself what it does to truly experience the mod in an authentic way.
The mod is subtle on purpose, it will not impact your gameplay, don't think about it, if you try to discover what it does you won't succeed.
This mod WILL NOT interact in any way with blocks in the world, and entity interaction is very limited and non destructive. I say it's fairly safe to put this mod in any modpack.
If you want this mod ported to any other version not supported please open an issue on Github and I will see to it.

Description
A Minecraft Mod that adds a "Herobrine" to the game.
The mod is designed to be installed and forgotten about, as its intent is to make the player question if what they saw was actually there or if they imagined it. It works because I finedtuned it very much for the effect to work as intended.
Features so far (very simplified explanation):
- Herobrine (can appear and stalk the player, disappears when in Player's FOV)
- Animal possession (Herobrine can possess animals around you, they will get white eyes and stalk you, until looked at)
- Footsteps (Footsteps can play at random times behind the player)
Multiplayer
The mod also works in multiplayer and needs to be installed on both the server and client.
The mod will choose a player at random every 20 minutes, during this period all the effects of the mod will be done on that player.
This mod is particularly good if added to a modpack given to a friend or group of friends without them knowing, allowing for a potentially real and genuine unsettling experience that they will not be able to explain, since the mod is subtle and not explicitly horror.
