Description

๐ŸŒฑ Green Thumb v1โ€ค0โ€ค0 ๐ŸŒฑ

Grow crops on way more blocks!! (no tilling required o.o)
No configuration necessary - add this to your world and you're good to go!

Plant more crops on more blocks!

Blocks -> Grass Blocks (star of the show), Podzol, Mycelium, Dirt, Coarse Dirt, Rooted Dirt, Dirt Paths, Mud, Muddy Mangrove Roots, Moss Blocks, & Pale Moss Blocks (and still farmland)

Vanilla Crops -> Wheat, Carrots, Potatoes, Beetroot, Melons, Pumpkins, Torchflowers, & Pitcher Crops
("Crops" are considered to be any plant that would normally grow only on tilled soil!)

Also makes netherwart able to be grown on soul soil
(because it should just be able to do that)

Crops planted on the expanded block set...

  • Will not get broken by players or mobs jumping on them (๐Ÿฅณ)
  • Still grow as though planted on farmland
  • Are still responsive to bonemeal
  • NEITHER REQUIRE NOR BENEFIT FROM NEARBY WATER* โš ๏ธ

*farmland is (unfortunately) the only block with the "hydration" block state - this means all added blocks are functionally identical to unhydrated farmland in terms of crop growth speed - crops will still grow most efficiently on hydrated farmland.

so farming on hydrated farmland remains optimal, but farming elsewhere is still reasonable - and the expanded placement capability opens up a lot more creative possibilities for players to play around with โœจ

Contact

feel free to reach out with any issues/inquiries at: [email protected]
(especially on this one - I can very easily alter the block list for specific use cases - just shoot me an email ๐Ÿ‘)

I plan to fork a version of this that will further expand plant "plantability" - i.e. allowing sugarcane to grow without water, allowing mushrooms to be placed without low light levels, etc., so keep an eye out for that! (and/or bug me to make it if/when I forget :P)
