MUTANT TABOOS

Mutant Taboos adds extraordinarily rare mobs, items, and blocks that violate Minecraft's natural rules. Every Taboo begins with something familiar, then twists one defining behavior while remaining connected to its vanilla origin.

DISCOVER THE IMPOSSIBLE

Taboos are encounters, not ordinary loot. Find them naturally, study what makes them wrong, and record only the forms your character has personally witnessed.

The mod currently contains 26 validated Taboo definitions, including harmful, useful, and novelty forms.

• Ashen Mercy — a hostile Blaze whose attacks extinguish fire and grant protection instead of causing harm.
• Borrowed Breath — a Drowned that shares Water Breathing with submerged players nearby.

THE TABOO COMPENDIUM

Craft the Compendium with a Book and an Echo Shard, then use it to observe nearby Taboo mobs, blocks, and dropped items.

DEVELOPMENT STATUS

Mutant Taboos is actively expanding. Natural block world-generation mutations and item loot-table mutations are planned for a later release; their registered content and data definitions already provide the foundation.
