Description

Named for the ancient god of water and wisdom, Nabu brings one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World into Minecraft - in ruins, and waiting to be restored.
Deep in the world stands the crumbling remains of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Its terraces are grey and lifeless, its planting beds long dead, its great irrigation broken and silent. The water that once climbed its levels and cascaded back down has stopped flowing - and the garden has withered with it.
Your task is to bring it back to life.

At the heart of the Gardens lies a puzzle of water and stone. Using Archimedes water screws, you'll lift water from the reservoir at the base up through the terraces, feeding the channels that let it cascade back down through the garden. Place a screw in flowing water and it turns, carrying water upward to the level above.
But a single screw can't reach the whole garden. To restore every terrace, you'll need to build a chain - each screw drawing from the water lifted by the one below it, climbing the Wonder level by level. Figuring out where to place them is the real challenge.
Watch the garden come back to life
The planting beds respond to how you treat them:
- Ordinary water - from a bucket or a normal source - grows crops just fine, at normal speed. The beds are yours to farm however you like.
- A running water screw nearby supercharges a bed. Crops grow faster, and it's the only way to make the garden's lost, extinct crops bear fruit again.
As you power each terrace, the grey ruin greens over - dead beds bloom, and the Gardens slowly return to the living wonder they once were. Restore every terrace, and the shrine at the summit stirs to life.

- Extinct crops - emmer, silphium, and date palm: ancient plants thought lost to time, renewable and yours to farm, that only fruit under a screw's blessing.
- The Fertility Charm - a keepsake of the Wonder, held in your offhand. While you carry it, breeding animals may bring more than one new life into the world at once.
- A living garden - keep the water flowing and the restored Gardens radiate fertility, a lasting reward for a wonder maintained rather than merely conquered.

- A hand-built, explorable multi-terrace Wonder to discover and restore
- A water-lifting placement puzzle built around Archimedes screws
- Three tiers of planting beds - nothing is ever locked away from ordinary farming
- Three lost crops, a unique offhand charm, and a living fertility aura
- Multiplatform: Fabric and NeoForge, for Minecraft 26.2
Nabu is a submission to CurseForge's Echoes of the Past: ModJam 2026.
