Description

Quickstart

  1. Craft the Nether Core Blade using crying obsidian, a nether star, a netherite sword, and a netherite ingot ({{ cm:recipe id="1015644" }}).
  2. Find or hatch a Tremor-Scale Wyrm by placing a Tremor-Scale Egg directly on top of a magma block in a well-lit area (light level 12+) and waiting for it to incubate.
  3. Use a Bone Whistle to call nearby juvenile Wyrms toward you.
  4. Craft Gold Dragon Armor ({{ cm:recipe id="1015648" }}) and equip it on your tamed Wyrm through its saddlebag inventory to boost its defenses.
  5. Craft a Heavy Colossus Saddle ({{ cm:recipe id="1015649" }}) to ride your Wyrm and access its cargo storage.
  6. Press T to open the Resonance Frequency / Tier Menu, M for the Seismic Radar / Rift Glider HUD, Left Ctrl to open the Rift Glider upgrade menu, and V to trigger the Kinetic Overdrive Ram / Shockwave.

Overview

Nether Core Blade centers on forging an escalating line of nether star-powered blades and raising a colossal Tremor-Scale Wyrm — a royal red dragon-like creature you hatch, tame, arm, and ride. Along the way you'll gather rare Nether materials, craft heavyweight Colossus armor, build a companion Coin Dragon for automated ore gathering, and eventually construct a Rift Glider for aerial mobility.

What It Adds

Weapons

  • Nether Core Blade — base weapon, upgradeable through multiple tiers
  • Charged Nether Core Blade — supercharged variant
  • Zenith Nether Core Blade and Gravitational Zenith Blade — end-tier smithing upgrades with a gravity-pull strike effect

Armor

  • Colossus Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, Boots — heavy netherite-tier armor set
  • Colossus Exo-Helmet, Exo-Chestplate, Exo-Leggings, Exo-Boots — smithing-upgraded versions of the Colossus set
  • Gold Dragon Armor — special barding worn by your tamed Wyrm

Creatures

  • Tremor-Scale Wyrm ("Royal Red Wyrm") — a giant tamable boss-like mount hatched from an egg
  • Coin Dragon — a small tameable companion that digs up ore and delivers loot to its bonded Wyrm or owner

Blocks & Items

  • Tremor-Scale Egg — placeable incubator block for hatching a Wyrm
  • Rift Arena Block — part of the Wyrm's boss encounter space
  • Bone Whistle — calls juvenile Wyrms
  • Dragon Soul Crystal, Resonance Shard, Eternal Core Remnant, Chronos Engine Gear — high-tier crafting components
  • Guardian Core Shard (Unstable Nether Core) — key ingredient for upgraded gear
  • Heavy Colossus Saddle — lets you ride and command your Wyrm
  • Rift Glider — an upgraded elytra with its own HUD and controls
  • Ruby, Tremor-Plated Scale — crafting materials, tremor-plated scale drops from mining activity near your Wyrm

Netherite Upgrade Smithing Templates are used for the Colossus Exo-armor set, using a Tremor-Plated Scale as the upgrade material. The Gravitational Zenith Blade instead uses an Eternal Core Remnant as its smithing template alongside a Resonance Shard.

Abilities And Mechanics

Hatching a Wyrm: Place a Tremor-Scale Egg directly above a magma block in an area with light level 12 or higher. Incubation takes several in-game days of continuous heat and light. Once ready, the block hatches into a live Tremor-Scale Wyrm.

Taming and Riding: Approach and interact with a juvenile Wyrm to begin taming it. Once tamed, equip it with the Heavy Colossus Saddle to ride it and open its saddlebag inventory, which holds 27 cargo slots plus a slot for Gold Dragon Armor.

Wyrm Combat Phases: A grown Wyrm is an immensely powerful boss-tier creature (650 health, heavy armor and knockback resistance) that progresses through multiple combat phases as its health drops, gaining new abilities and shields as the fight escalates.

Coin Dragon Companion: Tame a Coin Dragon and pair it with your Wyrm using the radar system. It will automatically travel to nearby ore deposits, mine them over time, and return the loot to your Wyrm's saddlebags or directly to you if no Wyrm is bonded.

Bone Whistle: Playing it summons juvenile Wyrms within a wide radius, useful for locating young dragons before taming them.

Key Controls:

  • T — Resonance Frequency / Tier Menu
  • M — Seismic Radar / Rift Glider HUD
  • Left Ctrl — Rift Glider Upgrade Menu
  • V — Kinetic Overdrive Ram / Shockwave

Weapon Effects: The Gravitational Zenith Blade pulls nearby enemies toward your crosshair on hit, dealing crowd-control utility alongside its base damage.

Progression And Strategy

Start by crafting the base Nether Core Blade and gathering Guardian Core Shards to push into charged and zenith weapon tiers. In parallel, hatch and tame a Tremor-Scale Wyrm, gearing it with Gold Dragon Armor and a Heavy Colossus Saddle so it can fight and carry loot. Pair it with a Coin Dragon for passive ore income while you focus on crafting Colossus armor and smithing it into its Exo-tier form using Tremor-Plated Scales. Endgame players should chase Dragon Soul Crystals, Eternal Core Remnants, and Resonance Shards to unlock the Gravitational Zenith Blade and fully upgraded Rift Glider for late-game mobility and combat dominance.
