Description
🪨 NewEra Geolosys
Your underground, finally geologically correct.
Vanilla gives you stone, deepslate and a handful of lookalikes. **NewEra Geolosys** replaces that monotony with **50 distinct rock types**, each hand-textured in a crisp **32×32 vanilla-style** look, and spreads them across the world the way real geology would, in layers, massifs, veins and cave decorations.
Dig down and the ground changes under your pickaxe. Climb a snowy mountain and ice hangs from the cave ceilings. Every block has a place, a reason and a texture that still feels like Minecraft.

✨ Features:
🌋 50 Rock Types
Igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic: granite-like felsite and syenite, volcanic trachyte, rhyolite and pumice, marble and quartzite, limestone, travertine, gypsum, halite, serpentinite, eclogite, kimberlite and many more.
Every rock comes with a full building set:
- Cobblestone, stone bricks, cracked bricks, chiseled, polished and smooth variants
- Columns
- Stairs, slabs and walls
⛏️ A Smarter World Generation
Freshly generated chunks are processed in several passes, so the new rocks actually *replace* the old ones instead of appearing as rare patches:
- Roughly **95% of vanilla stone-family blocks** (stone, deepslate, tuff, granite, diorite, andesite) are turned into geological host rock
- **Vanilla ores are remapped** to the rock they sit in, so you get `Felsite Diamond Ore` or `Latite Iron Ore` rather than leftover stone-textured ore
- Dungeon cobblestone and mossy cobblestone adopt the local rock family
- Rocks, climate and depth are tied together, so what you find makes sense for where you are
🌿 Living Surfaces
Natural stone gets a weathered look that reacts to the environment:
- Grass-covered variants**: grassy tops with hanging blades over the stone
- Snow-covered variants** for cold regions
- Surfaces update over time through random ticks
💎 Ores Everywhere
Ore variants exist for every host rock. Loose sediments (sands, gravels, clays) can hide ore too, and drops follow the material: shovel for soft ground, pickaxe for hard rock.
🦇 Cave Formations
Caves are no longer bare. Stalactites and stalagmites grow from calcitic, gypsum, siliceous and volcanic rock in four profiles (**tiny, needle, tapered and fat**) and 1–4 block chains.
- Built on vanilla pointed-dripstone logic, so they behave the way you expect
- Stalactites **fall when their support breaks**, and a falling tip can seriously hurt (or kill) anything underneath
❄️ Icicles
In cold biomes, ceilings and ledges grow ice formations of their own:
- Hang from snow and ice, or rise from the ground
- Melt and drip near heat, and can fill a cauldron with water
- React to explosions and **fall with lethal force** when their support is lost
- Never grow below the free tip of another icicle
