About

NightTime is a unique Minecraft datapack that plunges your world into eternal darkness, where strange and terrifying events known as "scares" will keep you on edge. You are tasked with completing the mission left behind by Buck Johnson, who failed to lift the curse of NightTime but left behind a guide to help you succeed.

Feature List

  • Scares
  • Shadows
  • Flashlights
  • Eternal Night
  • The Nightweaver [Final Boss]
  • Challenges, Deeds & Orbs
  • The Amulet

Help

If you need help at anytime playing the datapack, you can run '/trigger nt.giveHelpBook' which will give you Buck's Guide, where he wrote everything he knew about the challenges and dangers of the NightTime curse. Everything below is a small description about each feature. If you want to go more in-depth, you need to read Buck's Guide in-game.

Eternal Night & Scares

In this datapack, the world is permanently shrouded in darkness, creating an atmosphere where fear and danger lurk around every corner. The eternal night is filled with "scares," unexpected and often deadly events that can occur at any time. These scares are designed to keep you constantly on your toes, making survival a true test of your skills.

Shadows

As you navigate the darkness, you’ll encounter "shadows," mobs that have been altered by the NightTime curse. These shadows are stronger, faster, and harder to see, blending into the darkness until they are close enough to attack. Their enhanced abilities make them formidable foes, so be prepared for a tough fight whenever you cross paths with one.

Flashlights

Since your vision is limited in this darkened world, you can use a flashlight to see better and navigate your surroundings. The flashlight is a crucial tool for survival, but its battery life is limited. You can recharge your flashlight by throwing it on the ground and using coal, which makes it a valuable resource to manage carefully as you explore the night.

Challenges & Deeds

To progress in NightTime, you’ll need to complete a series of challenges that reward you with "deeds." These deeds are essential for crafting powerful orbs, each corresponding to a different challenge. The deeds include combat, exploration, and more, each offering a unique test of your Minecraft abilities. Successfully earning these deeds is key to advancing in your quest to end the eternal night.

Orbs & The Amulet

Once you’ve collected the deeds, you can combine them with Empty Orbs to create powerful Coloured Orbs. These orbs play a vital role in crafting the Amulet, a key item needed to summon a mysterious and powerful boss. The Amulet itself is useless without the proper ritual, which requires specific materials and a carefully constructed structure. Once the ritual is completed, the Nightweaver will be summoned, offering the final challenge to end the NightTime curse.

The Nightweaver

The Nightweaver is the ultimate challenge that awaits you in NightTime. This mysterious and powerful boss is the source of the eternal darkness that blankets the world. Summoning the Nightweaver requires completing the ritual using the Amulet, crafted from the Coloured Orbs. The Nightweaver is a formidable adversary, possessing a range of devastating attacks and summoning minions to fight by its side.

Defeating the Nightweaver is the only way to end the NightTime curse and bring daylight back to the world. However, it won't be easy—the Nightweaver is designed to test even the most experienced players. Prepare for an intense battle where strategy, quick thinking, and mastery of your resources are essential for victory.
