Nigredo replaces recipe-book brewing with true experimental alchemy. Every ingredient carries hidden essences — throw them into the Nigredo Cauldron, watch the liquid change color, and discover what your mixture becomes. No fixed recipes shown. No hand-holding. Just you, the fire, and the unknown.

🫕 The Nigredo Cauldron — a blackstone-and-copper cauldron that demands a heat source below. Regular fire and soul fire produce different results from the same mixture. Throw in up to 3 ingredients, watch the brew react, and extract with the vessel of your choice.

⚗️ The vessel defines the form — craft your container before brewing: Glass Bottles for classic potions, stackable Vials, throwable Volatile Ampoules, lingering Nebulous Ampoules — or dip arrows straight into the cauldron (1 dose = 8 tipped arrows, the mechanic Java Edition never had).

🔮 Dozens of secret recipes — beyond recreating every vanilla potion, the cauldron hides 49+ special combinations: Miner's Potion, Ethereal Flight, Magnetism, the Summoning, the Depths... Their recipes appear nowhere. Experiment, take notes, share rumors.

💎 Catalysts — choose wisely — powerful recipes demand a rare catalyst. Use the right one and get the full potion. Cheap out with the wrong one and receive its treacherous twin: the Thief's Potion turns you invisible... the Marked Thief's Potion turns you invisible and glowing. The fall is always the consequence.

💥 Alchemical failure has teeth — unstable mixtures don't just fizzle: small explosions, poison clouds, accidental living slimes, unstable potions with random effects... or the precious Nigredo Residue, raw matter of the Azuth.

💍 Rings of power, priced in experience — impregnate a ring with an effect and wear it in your offhand for permanent uptime — drained from your XP bar. The Azuth ring line (5 tiers, forged from transmuted Azuth) raises the ceiling... and the cost.
