Niin's Totem of Alliance

This is a small mod

that adds the A totem in the shape of a ghast Totem of Alliance, a new item which when held makes ghasts leave you alone.

Always wanted to build in the nether

but couldn't because everything you build gets burned to ashes? Then this mod is for you.

However

such an item isn't easy to find, you will really have to want it.

If you want to discover how to get it by yourself, restrain yourself from reading the following spoilers:

Clue 1: The name of the item is a good clue, if you know you know.
Clue 2: You will need to complete a challenging advancement to get your first Totem of Alliance.
I just want to know, man: Bring a ghast to the overworld and kill it, it will drop the totem.
