Description

No More Mushroom Fields

English Description

Tired of finding giant mushroom islands in the middle of your beautiful oceans? This lightweight mod completely removes the Mushroom Fields biome from the Overworld world generation table.

- How it works: It overrides the default vanilla dimension settings to drop the spawn rate of mushroom biomes to exactly 0%. They are replaced with standard ocean or deep ocean biomes instead.

- Why this mod was created:
1. Disabling Fantasy Elements: Many realism-focused modpacks (such as those using Alex's Mobs) often want to avoid or disable fantasy-themed creatures like the Mug Chump, which only spawn naturally within the Mushroom Fields biome. By removing this biome, you can naturally prevent those fantasy mobs from cluttering your realistic world without having to mess with complex mob spawning config files.
2. Resolving Biome Mod Conflicts: When using large-scale terrain generation or biome mods, custom worldgen registries can frequently conflict with the vanilla mushroom islands, causing jagged biome borders, broken generation, or unwanted structure overlaps. This mod smooths out the Overworld registry by entirely eliminating the problematic mushroom biome entry, ensuring maximum compatibility and seamless world generation.

- Requirements: Minecraft 1.20.1 and Forge
- Note: This mod only affects newly generated chunks/worlds. Existing mushroom islands in old worlds will not disappear.
