About
Description
NoCover modifies the behavior of hostile mobs in Minecraft. When a mob takes damage from a player, it gains the ability to break blocks to reach its attacker. No longer do mobs get stuck behind walls or doors — if they don’t have a valid path, they’ll start mining their way toward you.
This behavior activates only after the player attacks the mob, turning every encounter into a tactical decision. If the mob regains a valid path during the process, it cancels the mining action automatically.
the mod includes a configuration file (nocover-common.toml) that lets you define which blocks should be protected. By default, it protects vanilla containers, portals, redstone components, and special blocks from mods like Lootr, preventing mobs from destroying custom loot or critical structures.
NoCover is a server-side only mod, compatible with both vanilla and modded clients. It doesn’t add blocks or items — just smarter, more reactive, and more dangerous mob AI.
NoCover adds a custom AI goal that lets mobs break blocks between themselves and their target after being damaged by the player. Configuration support for mob and block filtering is planned for future updates.
