Description

📖 About

Better Smoker is a small mod that makes vanilla smoker more useful, rather than being just 'faster furnace for few foods'. Has built-in compatibility with Create and Farmer's Delight.
It's recommended to play with JEI and Appleskin to view recipes and food stats in-game.

📖 Detailed Description

Smoking

  • Baked Apple - can be used for Golden Apple and Honey Baked Apple recipe.
  • Honey Baked Apple - made from Baked Apple and Honey Bottle. Gives Absorption (1:00). Can be used for Golden Apple recipe.
  • Cooked Carrot - made from Carrot. can be used for Golden Carrot and Rabbit Stew recipes.
  • Cooked Beetroot - made from Beetroot. can be used in Beetroot Soup recipe.
  • Cooked Spider Eye. Has 50% chance to inflict Poison (0:03). Can be used for Fermented Spider Eye recipe.
  • Baked Chorus Fruit. Tastier than regular chorus fruit and doesn't teleport user away.
  • Cooked Red & Brown Mushrooms can be eaten and used in Mushroom Stew and Rabbit Stew recipes.
  • Berry Jelly. Made from sweet or glow berries (applies Glow effect for 0:30).
  • Cooked Rotten Flesh. Has 40% chance to inflict Hunger (0:15).
  • Baked Poisonous Potato. Has 30% chance to inflict Poison (0:03). Use in Rabbit Stew recipe to make it poisoned.
  • Rabbit Stew (poisoned). Looks almost like vanilla counterpart. Give this to the person you want to make fun of.
  • Cooked Tropical Fish. Just basic food, a bit worse than cooked cod.
  • Cooked Rabbit Foot. Inflicts Luck (1:00) and can be used for Rabbit Stew recipe.
  • Cooked Bamboo Shoots. Has weak stats, but still very easy to obtain food if you have bamboo farm.

Farmer's Delight Compatibility

  • Cooked Rabbit Foot can be used in some cooking recipes
  • Additional recipe for Dog Food
  • Additional recipe for Organic Compost

Create Compatibility

  • All smoked foods can be created via Bulk Smoking (Fire next to a Fan).
