Keep zombies and other mobs from burning in sunlight.

tl;dr

A lightweight mod that prevents mobs from catching fire in sunlight, without making them immune to fire.

No fire flickering, no ugly workarounds, and no accidental fire immunity. Lava, flint and steel, fire charges, and every other normal source of fire still work as expected.

what it does

  • prevents mobs from burning in sunlight
  • eliminates the annoying fire flicker
  • supports modded mobs
  • does not grant general fire immunity
  • can be configured to protect all mobs, specific mods, or individual mob IDs

why?

Sometimes you just want your zombies to survive the daytime without turning them into fireproof mobs.

configuration

By default, all mobs are protected, including mobs added by other mods. If you prefer more control, you can disable the default protection and specify exactly which mods or mob IDs should be affected.

compatibility

  • Minecraft 1.20.1
  • Forge
  • If you're using Serilum's Zombie Horse Spawn mod, do not disable its fire immunity. Doing so can cause Zombie Horses to suffer from fire flicker.
