NEDEAE2LTIF Service

The required companion for NEDEAE2LTIF — the harmony mod that lets AE2 Lightning Tech (ae2lt + Thunderbolt) and Data Energistics coexist.

What Is This?

This is a tiny support jar for the main NEDEAE2LTIF mod. It contains exactly one thing: a mod-discovery filter that runs in the FML service layer, before the game sorts and validates mods.

AE2 Lightning Tech's metadata declares Data Energistics as incompatible, which normally aborts startup before any gameplay code runs. This jar intercepts that check and strips the declaration, letting both mods load together.

Why Is It a Separate Mod?

Technical constraint: any jar in your mods folder that registers a discovery-layer service gets promoted by FML into the service module layer and is then skipped as a mod — so the service must live in its own jar, separate from the main mod. Bundling them would silently break mod loading.

Installation

  1. Download this file.
  2. Also install the main NEDEAE2LTIF mod.
  3. Place both jars into your mods folder.

⚠️ This jar alone only lifts the startup block — it does not include the crash fixes or the AE2LT compatibility features. Always install it together with the main mod.
