Description
👻 Nuky's Soul Echo
A part of you stays behind when you die. Return to find a spectral echo wearing your skin, holding your lost items, experience, and saturation.
Watch your echo walk, pause, and crouch as though it has not realized it died. Soft ground mist, particles, and recovery sounds give each encounter a haunting atmosphere.
📸 Meet your echo

✨ A spectral reflection of you
-
Your own appearance: Echoes use their owner's Minecraft skin.
-
Lifelike movement: They walk, pause, and sometimes crouch near their resting place.
-
Personal belongings: Only the owner can reclaim an echo's contents.
-
Multiple echoes: Each death can leave an independent echo.

🎒 Recover what you lost
Return to your echo and right-click it with an empty main hand. You can still carry an item in your offhand.
-
Recover your items, including armor and offhand equipment.
-
Items return to their original inventory slots where possible. Anything that does not fit drops nearby.
-
Recover the experience a normal Minecraft death would return.
-
Your stored saturation is added to your current saturation, up to your current food level's limit.
Saturation does not directly heal you or grant Regeneration. Minecraft's usual natural healing rules still apply.
💎 The Soul Offering
Want to recover all your lost experience?
Craft a Soul Offering, then drop it near your echo before reclaiming it. The offering must be thrown by the echo's owner.
When accepted, it is consumed, particles appear, and chimes play. Then right-click your echo with an empty main hand to recover its contents.

🛠️ Crafting recipe
Place one diamond in the center of a crafting table, surrounded by eight pieces of paper.
The recipe produces one Soul Offering.

In Creative mode, find it in Tools & Utilities, after the goat horns and before Music Disc 13.
⏱️ Return before your echo fades
-
Echoes last 5 minutes by default while their chunk is loaded.
-
Their timer pauses when the chunk unloads.
-
Their contents and elapsed lifetime persist when the world is saved.
-
If an echo expires, its contents are lost and its owner receives a personal message.
With keepInventory enabled, echoes are visual only and do not duplicate your belongings.
🤝 Better together with Nuky's mods
-
Nuky's Dropped Items: With a compatible version installed, echoes follow its despawn duration setting, including Never.
-
Nuky's Lights: Add colored lighting to your surroundings. These screenshots show both Fabric mods running together with green and blue lights.
Both integrations are optional. Soul Echo works on its own, and RGB lighting comes from Nuky's Lights.
