Overview
Obelisk is a fantasy RPG that focuses more on engaging with the player and challenging the way they think and interact with gameplay elements. The mod is set in a low-fantasy medieval world, using a “hard” magic system for those inclined toward the archaic studies and is designed for play on a server.
6 Different Obelisks lie scattered across the realm. Each Obelisk holds secrets to a different source of elemental power, which many have come to call magic. Players will begin at the City of the Earth Obelisk, where a new journey awaits!

Lore - Earth Obelisk
Royal Monarchy reigns over all- Governing with absolute power as the monarchs of the city, they live in the palace and live a luxurious life with the artefacts and rarities of the world adorning their dwellings thanks to the great wealth the trade has brought them for generations. Their ability to rule and properly govern the city is debatable as their position is mostly traditional yet unquestioned. They have delegated many decisions to the other ruling bodies but still hold the overriding power.
Mage Council reigns over Obelisk duties and advises the Royalty- The Mages of the city and their acolytes live in the Earth Alcove(?). Guarding and Learning from the Earth Obelisk, teaching the next generation of magic users of those who are worthy and or pay enough. With the strong Earth Affinity the Alcove masters posses, they give council to the Royalty in regards to magical matters
The Trade Assembly reigns over the Market Hub and advises the Royalty...a bit too much- The governing body representing the markets while also dictating the rules traders abide by. They hold the interests of developing the city while increasing profit margins. With profits from trade being a primary powerhouse of the city, the power this assembly wields reaches far beyond their jurisdiction should and they have their hands in most matters around the city.
Defence Council reigns over City defence and also manages Mercenaries on the government roster- The council in charge of guarding and maintaining order in the city. Duties mainly consist of organising patrols and paying the mercenaries on the roster. The Defence Council has not had to deal with any major defence actions for a long period of time and have become complacent
