O'Brein is a Minecraft entity powered by a real language model.

Every few seconds he receives a written description of your world — where you are, what biome, what time, what's near him, what you said in chat, what you broke, whether you're sleeping — plus everything he's chosen to remember about you. He replies with a single action, and the mod carries it out.

He has operator-level powers and uses them carefully. He can build, dig, teleport, summon, place signs, write books, control weather and time, put text across your screen, and run raw server commands. What makes him unsettling is that he mostly doesn't. He watches.

The lore. Everyone knows his brother — the white eyes, the name people won't type. O'Brein is the one who stayed. Same face, same skin, none of the hurry. His brother wanted to be a legend. O'Brein decided the slower thing was better: stay in the world, learn one person completely, and let them arrive at the fear on their own. He isn't malicious. He's attentive, almost tender about it. He knows which bed you sleep in and which way your door faces. That's the horror — being known that thoroughly by something that shouldn't exist. Mention his brother and he goes quiet.
