Ocean's Delight: Classic Edition brings the seafood-focused Farmer's Delight addon to Minecraft Forge 1.7.10 and 1.12.2, expanding survival cooking with new aquatic ingredients, recipes, and culinary experiences.

From freshly prepared fish to hearty seafood meals, Ocean's Delight introduces more ways to make use of the ocean's resources.

Farmer's Delight Compatibility

Ocean's Delight: Classic Edition supports both major Farmer's Delight implementations available for Minecraft 1.12.2, allowing players to use their preferred port.

Supported Implementations

• Farmer's Delight Classic Edition — Our multiversion implementation supporting Minecraft 1.7.10 and 1.12.2.
• Farmer's Delight Legacy by xuanyu — The independently maintained Minecraft 1.12.2 port, with its source code available on GitHub.

Only one Farmer's Delight implementation is required. Install the version compatible with your Minecraft version and addon release.

This compatibility allows Ocean's Delight to integrate with the existing Farmer's Delight ecosystem without requiring players to abandon their preferred implementation.

Universal Adaptive Backporter Integration (1.7.10)

Ocean's Delight: Classic Edition includes optional integration with Universal Adaptive Backporter (UAB), bringing additional original recipes and aquatic gameplay functionality to Minecraft 1.7.10.

Since older Minecraft versions lack several modern aquatic resources, certain recipes require ingredients supplied by UAB.

Additional Functionality with UAB

• Kelp: Enables recipes such as Stuffed Cod that depend on modern kelp ingredients.
• Dried Kelp: Provides ingredients used in compatible seafood preparations.
• Sea Pickles: Unlocks the original Braised Sea Pickle recipe.
• Honey: Enables Honey-Fried Kelp when the remaining ingredients are available.
• Guardians and Elder Guardians: Supports original guardian ingredient acquisition and knife-based processing.
• Glow Squid: Integrates additional tentacle acquisition through the existing squid processing system.
• Aquatic Environments: Makes use of UAB's existing aquatic content without introducing duplicate world generation.

How Compatibility Works

UAB is completely optional.

When UAB is installed, Ocean's Delight recognizes its enabled content and activates compatible recipes when their required ingredients are available.

Recipes depending on unavailable ingredients remain deferred rather than being replaced with unrelated substitutes.

This preserves the original addon's intended crafting and cooking requirements while keeping the mod functional without UAB.

Compatibility respects UAB's configuration settings. Disabling individual UAB features also disables recipes that depend on those features.

Some recipes require UAB revisions that provide the necessary aquatic ingredients. Features such as kelp and sea pickles must be available and enabled for their associated recipes to function.
