Description

OmniCombatMod

A combat-focused mod that adds three new tools built around merging and extending vanilla mechanics: a multi-effect potion, a hybrid defensive item, and a hybrid weapon.

Potion of the Combat Master

A new brewable potion inspired by the Turtle Master Potion's multi-effect design, but built for offense instead of defense. Comes in two levels, just like vanilla tiered potions:

  • Level I: Fire Resistance, Speed I, and Strength I, all at their base duration.
  • Level II: Fire Resistance, Speed II, and Strength II, with Fire Resistance lasting 8 minutes and Speed/Strength lasting 1.5 minutes.

Full support for Splash and Lingering variants on both levels.

Totemed Shield

Solves the classic PvP inventory problem of needing both a Shield and a Totem of Undying ready at once. The Totem Shield merges both into a single item.

  • Works identically to a vanilla Shield — usable in either the mainhand or offhand.
  • When it would save you from death, it triggers the same death protection as a Totem of Undying (revive at 1 HP, with Regeneration, Absorption, and Fire Resistance).
  • After saving your life, it transforms into a regular Shield in the exact same slot — preserving all enchantments and durability/NBT data from the original item.
  • Enchantments also transfer the other way: combining an enchanted Shield with a Totem in crafting passes those enchantments onto the resulting Totem Shield.

M.A.S

A hybrid melee weapon combining the mechanics of all three vanilla weapon types into one, available in two tiers:

  • Diamond M.A.S — crafted directly from a Sword, Axe, and Mace.
  • Netherite M.A.S — upgraded from the Diamond version using a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template, just like any other Netherite tool.

Shared mechanics:

  • From the Mace: smash attacks with fall-distance-based bonus damage, knockback to nearby entities, and the signature smash sound.
  • From the Axe: wood-stripping on right-click, and disables enemy shields for 5 seconds per hit.
  • From the Sword: sweep attacks against multiple enemies.
  • Enchantments: accepts the combined enchantment pool of Sword, Axe, and Mace. When crafting the Diamond M.A.S, any enchantments on the source tools carry over, keeping the highest level when effects overlap (e.g. two sources of Sharpness keep the higher one).
  • Repair: repairable with Netherite Ingots like any normal Netherite tool, or with a single Heavy Core in an anvil to fully repair any amount of damage in one go.

Compatibility

All three items integrate with vanilla systems (creative menu, anvil, brewing, crafting) rather than replacing them, so they should work alongside other mods that don't directly modify Shields, potions, or weapon base classes.
