Orebrood

Orebrood is a creature-focused expansion for Minecraft that adds strange wildlife, monsters, parasites, scavengers, and living ecosystems built around unusual biological behaviors.

Rather than filling the world with ordinary mobs that simply run at the player and attack, Orebrood is built around creatures with their own gimmicks. Some steal valuables. Some parasitize other monsters. Some feed on corpses. Some undergo complete metamorphosis. Others turn normally harmless animals against you or wait beneath the desert for something to wander too close.

Many of the creatures are loosely inspired by bizarre behaviors found in real animals—especially insects and other invertebrates—then pushed into gritty fantasy territory.
