Description

🩹 Ouch Kit

A visual injury & bandaging system for Minecraft

📌 Short Description

Ouch Kit adds a visual, slot-based bandaging system to Minecraft. Treat bleeding wounds with bandaids, medium bandages, and wraps — each with unique behavior, visuals, and sounds.

🧠 What This Mod Does

Ouch Kit introduces a wound treatment system that focuses on:

  • Visual feedback

  • Injury severity

  • Immersive, lightweight mechanics

Bandages appear directly on the player’s body, fall off over time, and interact with bleeding and healing in a natural way.

🩸 Bleeding System

Bleeding comes in three severity levels:

  • Light

  • Medium

  • Heavy

Each level affects healing differently and determines which treatment works best.

🩹 Bandaging Items

Bandaids

  • Best for light wounds

  • Can be dyed different colors

  • Appear on arms and legs

  • No healing multiplier (stabilization only)

  • Fall off naturally over time

  • Fun, cosmetic, and practical

Medium Bandages

  • Effective for medium bleeding

  • Apply a recovery bonus only at medium bleed

  • Neutral appearance (not dyeable)

  • Stronger stabilization than bandaids

Wraps

  • Designed for heavy bleeding

  • Apply a recovery bonus only at heavy bleed

  • Most effective treatment option

  • Neutral appearance

  • Longer-lasting coverage

🎨 Visual Features

  • Bandages render on the player model

  • Works with Customizable Player Models (CPM)

  • Configurable overlay texture size (64 / 128 / higher)

  • Bandages fall off one by one, not all at once

  • Slight variation in placement for natural look

🔊 Sound Design

Each treatment has its own:

  • Apply sound

  • Texture feel (cloth vs adhesive)

  • Feedback that matches severity

⚙️ Configuration Options

  • Toggle natural regeneration behavior

  • Control how bleeding interacts with healing

  • Set overlay texture size for CPM users

🛠 Debug & Modpack Friendly

  • Includes a debug command for testing

  • Designed to work alongside other survival & realism mods

  • Lightweight — no complex dependencies

📦 Compatibility

  • Minecraft 1.21.1

  • NeoForge

  • Customizable Player Models supported

  • Client-side rendering, server-safe logic

❤️ Why This Mod Exists

Ouch Kit was designed to make injuries feel visible but not punishing.
Getting hurt isn’t the end of the world — you patch up, keep going, and maybe laugh it off. It made sense, so I built it!

“Ouch. Anyways.”
