Outback Core

Outback Core is the foundation library and shared systems mod for the Outback Mods ecosystem. It provides common systems, APIs, and services that allow Outback mods to work together and share data instead of each mod having to create its own separate systems.

Outback Core is designed to be lightweight, configurable, server-friendly, and easy for other Outback mods to integrate with.

💰 Economy System

Outback Core provides a shared economy system that can be used by all Outback mods.

The economy system allows mods to:

• Check a player's balance

• Add money

• Remove money

• Transfer money

• Set balances

• Create configurable currencies

• Give money as rewards

• Charge players for items or services

• Check whether a player has enough money

Because the economy is provided by Outback Core, different Outback mods can use the same player balance.

For example, Outback Bank can manage banking features, while Outback Quests can give players money as quest rewards and Outback Shops can charge players for purchases.

This keeps the entire Outback Mods ecosystem connected to one shared economy.

🛡️ Permissions & Ranks

Outback Core provides a shared permissions and ranks system that can be used by all Outback mods.

Server owners can create ranks and assign permissions to them. Permissions can be inherited between ranks, making it easier to manage large servers.

Ranks can have their own permissions while also inheriting permissions from lower ranks.

Mods can then check permissions provided by Outback Core instead of creating their own separate permission systems.

🔌 Shared Mod Integration

Outback Core is designed to act as the central connection between Outback mods.

Instead of every mod creating its own economy, permissions, and player systems, Outback mods can use the APIs provided by Outback Core.

👤 Player Data

Outback Core can provide shared player information that other Outback mods can access.

Player data can be linked to the player's UUID, allowing information to remain associated with the correct player even if their username changes.

The Core system is designed so additional Outback mods can store and use their own information without having to create completely separate player-management systems.
