Description
Overburdened
**Overburdened** is a Minecraft mod for NeoForge 1.21.1 that introduces dynamic weight mechanics to items and the player's inventory, bringing a new layer of strategy and realism to survival gameplay.
No longer can you carry infinitely large stacks of heavy blocks without consequence. In **Overburdened**, every item has weight, and carrying too much will actively hinder your movement.
Features
- Dynamic Encumbrance System: Calculates total inventory weight in real-time.
- Progressive Movement Penalties:
- Light Load: No penalties.
- Encumbered: Mild Slowness effect applied.
- Overburdened: Significant Slowness effect, sprinting is disabled.
- Immobilized: Movement speed is reduced to near zero.
- Configurable Weights: All item weights are fully customizable via JSON config files. Modpack authors can easily balance the system.
- Visual Integration: (Optional) Integrates with standard HUD elements to display encumbrance level.
Configuration
The mod generates a overburdened-server.json configuration file where you can define:
- Global Capacity: The base weight capacity for all players.
- Item Weights: Specific weight values for individual items and blocks (e.g.,
minecraft:stone, minecraft:anvil). - Penalty Thresholds: Adjust when different movement penalties apply.
P.S.: This mod is still a PoC, bugs may exist.
