Paxium Ore

Paxium

A rare, burning-hot material found at the very bottom of the world. Refine it in the Starforge and turn your netherite gear into Paxium equipment that lets you fly, shoot fire beams, and launch explosive fire bolts.

Paxium is an endgame progression mod (vanilla style) for NeoForge 1.21.1. It adds one new ore, a new crafting station, and a full set of gear that goes beyond netherite.

⛏️ Deepslate Paxium Ore

• Generates in every Overwold biome between Y -64 and Y -55, just above bedrock.
• Very rare: at most one block per chunk, never forms veins.
• Only harvestable using a netherite pickaxe.

🔥 Dangerously Hot!

Paxium materials are so hot that carrying them in your inventory sets you on fire. This applies to:

• Raw Paxium
• Paxium
• Deepslate Paxium Ore
• the Paxium Sword
• the Paxium Bow

Each of these items has a red "Dangerously Hot!" tooltip. Bring Fire Resistance potions, or wear a full set of Paxium armor to become immune.

✨ The Starforge

You refine Raw Paxium in the Starforge, a new crafting station. The Paxium Ingot is then used in a smithing table to upgrade netherite gear to paxium gear.

⚔️ Paxium Equipment

Wearing the full Paxium armor set, adds a flight/fire bar above your hotbar. This bar is drained (and required) when performing any special abilities, and recharged if idle. Special abilities include:

• Paxium Armor Set: Flight, draining the bar
• Paxium Sword: Hold right-click to fire a beam of fire, dealing damage to entities, draining the bar
• Paxium Bow: Shooting drains half of the bar (no arrows required), explodes on impact (block damage), direct hit deals massive damage.

These armor pieces can also receive upgrades to capacity and recharge rate of the fire bar and damage to the special attacks.
