Peaceful Unless Provoked
No reviews yet
Hostile mobs ignore players unless attacked — make survival calmer without removing danger.
Designed to be relaxing and comfortable with little challenge, often including elements like peaceful villages, farming, and gentle exploration.
Used for mods with little to no gameplay elements.
Adds or enhances hostile creatures and enemies.
Neoforge is a fork of the Minecraft Forge available for versions 1.20.1+ of Minecraft. Many Forge mods are compatible with Neoforge and vice versa.

Description
🌟 Peaceful Unless Provoked
Tired of every zombie, skeleton, or creeper rushing you on sight?
With Peaceful Unless Provoked, hostile mobs will leave you alone until you strike first. Once attacked, they’ll fight back for a short time — then calm down again if left alone.
This creates a more relaxed survival experience without completely removing combat. You can explore, build, and farm in peace, but danger is always there if you pick a fight!
⚔️ How it Works
-
👀 Hostiles won’t target you automatically.
-
💢 Attack a mob → it becomes provoked for 20 seconds.
-
⏳ After the timer expires, the mob calms down and stops chasing.
-
❌ Bosses like the Ender Dragon, Wither, and Warden are excluded (they always fight).
-
😠 Neutral mobs (endermen, piglins, etc.) also have their anger cleared when calm.
🎮 Great For
-
Players who want a softer survival mode without turning on Peaceful difficulty.
-
Builders who like to play in survival but don’t want constant interruptions.
-
Servers that want a friendlier PvE experience while keeping combat intact when chosen.
⚙️ Configuration
-
Provoke timer is set to 20 seconds by default.
-
(Future versions may add config options for timer length and exclusions.)
📝 Compatibility
-
✅ Works in singleplayer and multiplayer.
-
✅ Tested with NeoForge 21.1.206 (Minecraft 1.21.1).
