Description

Periodicity

Description of all the materials.

Overview

Periodicity is a mod that adds sidegrades to vanilla ores, leaning more towards utility than combat.

Method of obtaining

Periodicity's materials do not spawn underground, or anywhere for that matter. Instead, you must craft them with the all-new Infusion Table.

Infusion Table Recipe; 2 bricks on top of 4 cobbled deepslate.

Each sidegrade is crafted with materials from roughly the same stage of progression as you would encounter the regular material. For example, Heliostone is crafted as such:

Heliostone recipe; one diamond and one blaze powder.

What's special about each material?

Each sidegrade has a full set of tools and armor. (excluding horse/nautilus armor) However, to spice things up, some ores have additional uses other than tools and armor. For example, Floralite can be used to make a Floralite Composter, a better composter that gives two bonemeal instead of one, and Pluvium can be used to make a Pluvium Conduit, a cheaper conduit that accepts all existing conduit-compatible blocks, and any block made with pluvium.

Ontop of this, each ore's armor gives you a special effect when the full set is worn.

  • Floralite: When holding a Floralite Hoe in your main hand and crouching, you bonemeal the ground around you and crops you're standing on! however, this comes at the cost of some of the hoe's durability.

  • Logonite: When holding any Pickaxe in your main hand and crouching, you gain the Logonite Haste effect, which allows you to instantly mine any* destructible block. (A block is destructible if their blast resistance is below 3.6M, so pretty much every normally generated block, excluding Bedrock and End Portal Frames.) *However, you cannot mine Reinforced Deepslate. (for balancing reasons) Ontop of this, once you instantly mine a block, you cannot use that pickaxe for a duration of time, and it takes a set amount of durability damage.

  • Pluvium: You gain Conduit Power II and Dolphin's Grace, meaning you swim faster and can breathe in water.

  • Heliostone: You gain fire immunity, and when entering lava, you slowly regenerate health.

  • Neutronite: Any negative status effect you receive is turned into it's positive counterpart. For example, Slowness turns into Speed.
