PIGLIN SLAYER
New Mobs, a new Boss, new Enchantments, Structures and more.
If you want to comunicate with me for any reason: https://discord.gg/344aTBYc2z
PIGLIN SLAYER is my first project in Minecraft Modding.
My objective is to add weight to Minecraft's gameplay, adding meaningful mobs and items that can integrate themselves in vanilla gameplay.
The mod features only few new blocks, no new tools and one new armor.
Inspired by the recent Zelda games, all new mobs come in three variants: Red, Black, White.
Red variants are the weakest, while White variants will pose a real treat since they usually come with special attacks to punish the player who does not fight them directly.
The player will find the new types of piglin only in the overworld in small encampments or large structures.
There are also a lot of new enchantments and some magic rings.
PIGLIN SLAYER should be compatible with all mods.
There is also a special Book craftable with 2 piglin fangs and a book.
This book should provide enough information to the player to cover all the main topics of the mod.
List of bugs/stuff
- Mobs attacks animations might get desynced.
Mobs list:
Everyone of these mobs have the 3 variants, but not all appear in game.
Standard Piglin: Normal piglin with a sword. The White variant may blast the player with a shout.
Boarlin: Bigger type of piglin, increased damage, health and knockback. The White variant may use a charged attack that creates an explosion in front of it.
Piglin Archer: Well, it shoot arrows. Black variant shoots 3 arrows at increased distance. The White variant well... it shoots explosive arrows.
Piglin Shaman: Red just shoots fireball, Black summons enemies too, and White has a spell that will create an explosion. The area of the explosion is marked by particles.
Piglin Champion: Trows axes, charges the player, shouts, and jumps.
Piglin Giant: Only the red one will be found in survival for now. Bonks the player with big stick. Takes triple damage if shot in the eye.
Piglin Lord: Shouts only, but it is good at it.
Enchantment and rings list:
Enchantments:
Bouncing (Shield): Enemy will bounce back after hitting the player.
Takeoff (Leggings): Forward jumps are improved.
Dodging (Leggings): Backward jumps are improved.
Velocity (Crossbow): Arrows move faster.
Sniping (Bow, Crossbow): Headshots do more damage.
Mirror Force (Shield): Arrows are reflected back to shooter.
Blast React (Armor): After some hits, the player will explode nullifying damage.
Parrying (Shield): After blocking an attack, damage is boosted for a second.
Vorpal (Sword): Critical hits deals more damage, based on max health of the enemy, also, if the enemy is killed with a critical hit and can drop his head, his head is dropped.
Rings:
Ring of the Hawk King: Arrows shot by the wearer do not fall for some time.
Ring of the Hornet: Attacks from the back deal more damage.
Ring of the Cat: Prevents fall damage for small falls.
Ring of the Miracles: Prevents death if the weared has enough health.
Structures and boss:
Put your spoiler here.
Some structures may be protected by the Piglin Totem. This block may prevent building/breaking in a radius.
The Totem must be powered by redstone to function. Also, it requires an alive Piglin Lord to be close OR, if used by the player, it can be charged by sacrificing a pig.
When the block is activated by redstone, it will look for a pig in a radius and kill it to power itself. For a few hours, it will prevent building/breaking in the area (if redstone powered).
With the Piglin Totem it is possible to craft the Piglin Altar and, by sacrificing enough pigs, summon the Piglin God, the new bossfight of the mod.
Update:
The mod now is updated to 1.20.1, this update fixes a lot of bugs and balance problems, I tested it in multiplayer enviroment for a month or so and everything seems to work fine even with a lot of other mods.
Sadly, my project is currently corrupted and I have to load a backup old of a month or so and redo a lot of changes so, current problems will have to wait.
I'm also working on another project, Piglin Slayer was very fun to make, but I will probably not work on it for a while.

List of bugs/stuff
Mobs attacks animations might get desynced. Structures generation might be too frequent, please, provide me data about this.
