Overview
PokeEnchanter - Cobblemon Rewards is a lightweight utility mod designed for Minecraft 1.21.1 (Fabric). It connects directly to the Cobblemon battle system to reward players with automated item enchantments upon winning battles.
Critical Performance Note (Anti-Crash)
IMPORTANT: As of Version 1.2.0+, the maximum enchantment limit for the Chaotic Edition is hard-capped at 255.
Technical Context
Minecraft's internal physics and calculation engines (specifically for attributes like Knockback, Punch, and Sharpness) cannot process enchantment levels in the millions during combat calculations. Attacking an entity with extreme values forces the server into an unrecoverable processing loop, triggering a java.lang.ArithmeticException or java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space crash.
Capping all chaotic random enchantments at 255 maintains an overpowered gameplay experience while ensuring complete server stability and zero memory exhaustion.
How It Works
- Engage and defeat any wild or trainer Pokémon in an official Cobblemon battle.
- Upon victory, the mod scans your main inventory for non-empty items.
- A random eligible item is selected.
- A completely random enchantment is applied directly to the selected item.

Editions
We offer two distinct builds of the mod under the Files tab on CurseForge:
| Edition | Feature Breakdown | Recommended Audience |
|---|---|---|
| Balanced Edition | Strictly respects native Minecraft Vanilla enchantment limits (e.g., Sharpness I-V, Mending I). | Survival SMPs, balanced modpacks, standard gameplay. |
| Chaotic Edition | Bypasses standard Java limits, rolling random enchantment levels up to 255. | Unrestricted gameplay, extreme testing, chaotic servers. |
Recommended Mods
If you are using the Chaotic Edition, the following Fabric mods are recommended to prevent Minecraft from resetting over-leveled enchantment attributes:
| Mod Name | Function |
|---|---|
| EnchantmentLevelBreak | Allows processing of enchantment levels beyond level 5 without resetting attributes. |
| Fixed Anvil Repair Cost | Removes anvil repair limits ("Too Expensive!" cap) and freezes experience costs. |
| Universal Enchants | Removes equipment restrictions, allowing armor/weapon enchantments on any tool. |
| Enchantment Descriptions | Displays detailed tooltips for unfamiliar or high-level enchantments. |
