Description
Pokemon Fly Transitions
A lightweight cinematic teleportation mod for Minecraft, with optional Cobblemon integration.
Bring back the feeling of using Fly to travel between destinations, with smooth visual transitions instead of instant teleports.
✨ Overview
Pokemon Fly Transitions adds a cinematic Fly-inspired animation to supported teleportation systems.
When a compatible teleport is triggered, the player is lifted away through a smooth camera transition and brought back down at the destination.
Homes, warps, spawn commands, Waystones, and other supported teleport systems become part of a more immersive travel experience instead of instantly moving the player from one location to another.
The mod can be used with Cobblemon, alongside Pixelmon, or in completely standalone Minecraft setups.
When Cobblemon is installed, server owners can optionally require players to have a suitable flying Pokémon in their party. Without Cobblemon, the mod continues to work as a lightweight cinematic teleportation layer.
⭐ Features
- Fly-inspired cinematic transitions for supported teleports.
- Smooth camera movement during departure and arrival.
- Command teleport support for common home, warp, spawn, and travel commands.
- Cross-dimension animations for explicitly supported teleport sources.
- Optional Cobblemon flying Pokémon requirement.
- Optional fainted Pokémon restriction for stricter server rules.
- Configurable camera distance, height, and angle.
- Separate client and server configuration files.
- Organized in-game configuration sections for gameplay integrations and diagnostics.
- Automatic migration from previous configuration files.
- Multiplayer-friendly and lightweight design.
🧩 Compatibility
Pokemon Fly Transitions supports Minecraft 1.21.1 on:
- Fabric
- NeoForge
Official integrations include:
- Cobblemon, optional
- Waystones on NeoForge
- Wraith Waystones on Fabric
- FTB Essentials
- Supported command-based teleport systems
Cobblemon is not required. When it is installed, server owners can optionally require a flying Pokémon in the player's party before certain teleports are allowed.
The mod can also be installed in the same instance as Pixelmon or used in a completely non-Pokémon setup. However, there is currently no Pixelmon-specific integration, party detection, or Pixelmon gameplay feature.
Only explicitly supported teleport sources use the cinematic animation. Unknown teleports remain instant to avoid interfering with unrelated mods or vanilla mechanics.
Nether portals, End portals, End gateways, death, respawning, Ender Pearls, Chorus Fruit, and normal vanilla dimension travel are intentionally left untouched.
⚙️ Configuration
Pokemon Fly Transitions uses two clearly separated configuration files:
pokemon_fly_transitions-client.jsonpokemon_fly_transitions-server.json
Existing configuration files from previous versions are migrated automatically.
Server settings
Server owners can configure:
- Command teleport support
- External teleport integrations
- Cross-dimension transitions
- Waystones integrations
- Cobblemon flying Pokémon requirements
- Fainted Pokémon restrictions
- Supported teleport sources
- Diagnostic and debug options
Client settings
Client-side settings control only the visual presentation:
- Camera distance
- Camera height offset
- Camera angle
- Visual transition preferences
No oversized config jungle. No endless animation sliders. No admin nightmare. Just useful options, clearly separated between client visuals and server rules.
