Description

This mod allows you to control Iron Golem spawning and drops.   It will help you control your server economy and it will help prevent the massive overpopulation of iron golems that occurs in large villages.in modded minecraft which can cause lag.  You can also use it to give the same amount of iron with less server impact (1 Iron block per minute instead of 1-4 Iron Ingots per 20 seconds for example.)

Poor Iron Golems... Pity the poor, poor iron golems always being killed by the dozens or by the hundreds, often in lava, for their iron.  Too rich in iron for their own good.

Perhaps if they were a little ... poorer... then they would be killed less often.

This mod gives you control over how often and how much Iron Golems will drop iron

Spawn LImits

By default, once there are 4 iron golems in a 32x32 area, no further iron golems will spawn there.  You can configure this from 1 to 16 golems.

Loot Drop Limits

By default, in a given chunk, dying iron golems will only drop loot every 30 seconds.  This can be configured from as fast as 1 second to as long as 3600 seconds.

By default, dying iron golems drop 3-9 iron ingots.   This can be configured with a minimum from 0 to 15 and a maximum from 0 to 32.

By default, any death counts but you can require player kills or player/mob kills.

If this is what you like, you can drop this mod right in and start playing.;

Configuration

You can modify the configuration file so that Golems only drop iron ingots any period between once per second up to once per hour.

You can modify the number of iron ingots so Iron Golems never drop iron ingots or drop up to 1-32 iron ingots balancing a lower drop rate with increased drops.

Plans

Another mod based on this which requires player kills for all mobs has been requested.  It will have the option to ignore time requirements.
