Description
Power Hunt - Asymmetric PvP Mod for Minecraft
Power Hunt is an asymmetric PvP mod for Minecraft. One player is randomly chosen as The Chosen — an extremely powerful being hunted by everyone else. The goal is simple: Kill The Chosen to steal their power and become the new target.
Hunter Passives Every non-Chosen player automatically receives the following 4 passive abilities:
- Adrenaline: When your health drops below 30%, you instantly gain Speed II and Strength II. The lower your health, the more dangerous you become.
- Momentum: The longer you continuously sprint without stopping, the faster you become. Speed stacks over time and resets when you stop sprinting.
- Ghost Step: If you stand completely still for 10 seconds, you turn invisible. Moving breaks the invisibility instantly.
- Dodge: You have a 35% chance to automatically dodge any incoming hit with a short teleport dash. 8 second cooldown between dodges.
The Chosen - Powers & Abilities
The Chosen receives permanent buffs:
Speed III, Strength IV, Resistance I, Jump Boost III, Fire Resistance, Water Breathing, and Night Vision. Hunger never depletes.
Special Abilities (Keys 1–0):
- 1 — Dragon Fury: Breathe a stream of dragon fire at your enemies. (12s cooldown)
- 2 — Lightning Bolt: Strike your target with a lightning bolt from above. (2s cooldown)
- 3 — Ice Wave: Release a freezing wave that slows and knocks back nearby enemies. (10s cooldown)
- 4 — Void Pull: Pull all enemies within range toward you. (10s cooldown)
- 5 — Soul Burst: Trigger an AOE explosion that blasts everyone away from you. (10s cooldown)
- 6 — Cursed Mark: Marks the nearest enemy with a cursed sigil; after 5 seconds the mark detonates, dealing massive damage and applying Wither to all nearby enemies. (25s cooldown)
- 7 — Blink: Instantly teleport to wherever you are looking. (6s cooldown)
- 8 — Time Slow: Slow down all nearby players and entities. (25s cooldown)
- 9 — Meteor Rain: Call down a rain of fireballs from the sky onto your enemies. (75s cooldown)
- 0 — Armageddon: Unleash massive damage to every enemy within a large area. (60s cooldown)
Other Mechanics
- Meteoric Impact: When The Chosen falls from 15 or more blocks high, they create a massive explosion upon landing. The blast radius and damage scale with the fall distance. The Chosen takes no fall damage.
- Boss Bar: A purple boss bar constantly displays The Chosen’s name and current health to all players.
- Distance Tracker: Every hunter sees the exact distance to The Chosen (in blocks) on their action bar, updated every second.
- Power Transfer: When The Chosen is killed by a player, the killer instantly becomes the new Chosen with full powers and buffs. If The Chosen dies to the environment, a new Chosen is randomly selected after 10 seconds.
- Dark Aura: The Chosen is surrounded by a visible rotating dark smoke and soul fire aura. When a new Chosen is selected, lightning strikes, particles explode, and a title announcement is shown to the entire server.
