A mod that adds mantises to Minecraft. At this stage of development, this is an ambient mob that spawns in the jungle. In the future, it is planned to add various varieties of mantises and their habitats, as well as make them tame. The idea of a mantis mod originated with the players and author a long time ago.

Drop - Spider eye (mantises will hunt spiders in the future)

In Future:

Features:

• Adds real life praying mantis species to the game, which are tameable and breedable.
• Mantises can fight for you and guard you.
• You can feed them with different insects caught by you.
• You can design terrariums to put your mantises in. Three different sizes (small medium large).
• Tamed with dead insects.
• Can be fed honey to make them stronger. Maybe implement beehives.
• Mantises can be mated and bred, they then produce oothecae (egg sacs) which take a fixed amount of time to hatch.
• Maybe some kind of trading/selling system with new Entomologist Villagers.
• Different rarities.
• Maybe have a mantis encyclopedia or something that tells where to find, what to feed and how to care for a certain mantis.
• Can collect dead mantises and display them in cases.
• Mantis medicine to cure black death and the likes.
