🌵 Pricks 'n' Planks

Pricks 'n' Planks is a lightweight, desert-themed Minecraft mod that introduces a full cactus wood set, complete with signs, boats, fences, and a custom pottery sherd — all designed to blend seamlessly into the vanilla experience. If you think vanilla Minecraft is just missing out on these opportunities, giving cactuses more use and finally adding a green woodset, this mod is just for you! This mod adds just the right amount of content to feel natural and useful without overcomplicating gameplay.

Cactus Wood Set

Pricks 'n' Planks adds a brand-new wood type made from cactus, featuring all the block types you'd expect from a full wood family:

• Cactus Planks, Slabs, Stairs, Fences, Fence Gates
• Doors & Trapdoors with a unique design
• Buttons, Pressure Plates, Boats & Chest Boats
• Cactus Signs and Hanging Signs

The color palette pairs especially well with bamboo wood, particularly bamboo blocks — perfect for that green-themed build which you just haven't been able to build up until now.

Cactus Stew

• Cactus Stew is a new type of bowled food, with the bonus of granting the new custom Thorny effect, which causes any attacking entities to take damage, just like the Thorns enchantment would. This may have some yet unexplored PvP usages awaiting discovery.

Desert Archaeology

• Desert Wells can finally get some more appreciation, because they now contain the all-new Cactus Pottery Sherd, hidden in their Suspicious sand! And if you're lucky, you might also discover the rare Spine Armor Trim smithing template, found in desert wells and desert pyramid chests, perfect for adding a sharp, cactus-inspired design to your gear.

Throwable Cactus & Cactus TNT

Spice up your survival gameplay with some spiky new firepower:

• Throwable Cactus – A reusable, ranged weapon that deals damage overtime as it's stuck into the hit entity
• Cactus TNT – Explodes without terrain damage, instead launching a scatter of throwable cacti in all directions — great for crowd control or just a lot of whimsical fun!

New Music Disc – "Thorns"

A new disc track, inspired by the desert oases. Found exclusively in desert pyramids, it's a fitting reward for brave explorers.
