About
Description
Priest is a simple but powerful roleplaying and gameplay mod that allows an admin to anoint a single player with a sacred duty and the tools to carry it out.
Video Showcase
Key Features
- The Chosen One: Server administrators can use a simple command (
/setpriest) to bestow the title of "Priest" upon any player. This role is persistent and saved by the server. - Divine Artifacts: Upon being chosen, the Priest is automatically granted unique and powerful items.
- Bound to the Soul: These sacred items are inextricably linked to the Priest:
- They cannot be dropped from the inventory.
- They cannot be placed in chests, barrels, or any other container.
- They are kept on death and will be returned to the Priest's inventory upon respawnin
- The holy items belong to the Priest and the Priest alone. If any non-Priest player in survival mode acquires them, the items will vanish from their inventory. Creative mode players are exempt and can handle the items freely.
- Admins can easily remove the Priest role using the
/removepriestcommand, which will also safely cleanse the items from the former Priest.
Getting Started
The mod is designed for multiplayer servers but works perfectly in single-player as well.
For Server Admins:
-
To designate a player as the Priest, use the command:
/setpriest <player_name>(Requires permission level 2 or higher) -
To remove the Priest role from the current Priest, use the command:
/removepriest
For the Priest:
Once you are chosen, your divine duty begins. You will automatically receive these sacred items:

- The Scepter of Shame: A tool to punish non-believers or pass judgment upon those who stray from the path. When you strike another player with this scepter, it applies a divine effect, marking them for their sins.

- The Rod of Cleansing: A symbol of ultimate purity. When used on another player, this rod purges them of all magical effects, be they harmful curses or powerful boons. It offers a path to absolution, a fresh start for the repentant, or a test of faith for your followers.

- The Bible of Blessings: A symbol of your holy office. Use this tome as a roleplaying tool to grant blessings and signify your sacred trust with players who have earned your favor.
Priest Cross

The priest can choose one player to be crucified on the cross from all currently online players via a custom Priest-Cross-Interface (he cannot choose himself!).
When using a Priest Item on the Priest Cross, while a player is crucified, the item's effect is applied to the cross, and with a short delay, transferred to the player themself. The transfer is done by god himself using a lightning from heaven (or hell >:D).
How to summon the Priest Cross:
In order for the Priest Cross to appear, a Priest Item has to be used on an Armorstand (left click to hit).
Your mission is to be the spiritual guide for your world. Use your powers wisely!
