Vanilla+ Performance Optimization for Minecraft
Prismium is a lightweight, client-side Fabric mod focused on configurable rendering optimizations while keeping the vanilla Minecraft experience intact.
Instead of forcing fixed settings, Prismium gives players control over rendering distances and visibility checks to help reduce unnecessary rendering work.
What's New in 0.3.0
Sign Text Distance
- Added configurable sign text rendering distance.
- Sign text beyond the selected distance is skipped during rendering.
- Available distances: 1, 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56 and 64 blocks.
- Default distance: 32 blocks.
Features
Entity Culling
Uses camera visibility checks to skip rendering entities outside the camera's view when they are not visible.
Distant Culling
Controls how far away entities are rendered, allowing players to reduce distant entity rendering.
Particle Culling
Can be enabled or disabled to skip rendering particles beyond the configured distance.
Particle Distance
Configure the maximum particle rendering distance from 1 to 32 blocks.
Dropped Item Distance
Independently controls how far away dropped items are rendered, with a configurable distance from 1 to 128 blocks.
Sign Text Distance
Controls how far away sign text is rendered. Choose a distance from 1 to 64 blocks to reduce unnecessary sign text rendering at greater distances.
Persistent Configuration
Prismium automatically saves settings to:
"config/prismium.json"
Your settings persist between game sessions.
Custom Keybind
Press G by default to open Prismium Settings. You can change the keybind in Minecraft → Options → Controls → Key Binds.
Mod Menu Support
If Mod Menu is installed, you can open Prismium Settings directly from the mod's configuration button.
Configuration
Prismium is designed to give players control over its optimizations instead of forcing fixed settings.
You can adjust supported options through the in-game settings screen. Changes are saved automatically.
Development Status
Prismium is actively developed. Features and settings may evolve in future releases as compatibility and stability improve.
