ProjectEMon
No reviews yet
Gives Pixelmon items proper EMC values for ProjectE. Every Poké Ball variant gets its own value and its own Transmutation Table entry, and items holding Pokémon data can never be duplicated.

Description
### ProjectEMon
**ProjectE meets Pixelmon.** This addon gives Pixelmon's items coherent EMC values so you can learn,
transmute and condense them — without wrecking Pixelmon's progression and without opening a Pokémon
duplication exploit.
---
### Why an addon is needed
Pixelmon registers only **two** Poké Ball items. All 40 variants — Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball,
Master Ball, Beast Ball and the rest — share `pixelmon:poke_ball`, and the variant is stored in a
**data component**.
Left alone, ProjectE strips that component. Every ball collapses into a single Transmutation Table
entry, and transmuting one hands back a plain Poké Ball. The same is true of Technical Machines,
which store their move in a component too.
ProjectEMon fixes this properly, using ProjectE's official data component processor API.
---
### What you get
**Every Poké Ball variant is its own item**
Learn a Great Ball and a Master Ball as two separate entries, with two separate values, and transmute
each one back as the right ball. Cosmetic components are ignored, so a ball keeps one identity and
one value even after a server restart.
**Technical Machines keep their move**
Each TM move is learned separately and transmutes back as the same move — including Gen 9 TMs, whose
index needs special handling.
**Pokémon can never be duplicated**
Any item carrying Pokémon data is forced to 0 EMC: it cannot be learned, transmuted or condensed.
**Progression stays intact**
Rare and powerful items are priced to stay expensive. A Master Ball costs more than a Red Matter.
Mega Stones and Z-Crystals sit in the same bracket. Rare Candy is left out of the EMC system
altogether.
**Values you can actually change**
EMC values are data driven. Override them with a datapack, edit ProjectE's `custom_emc.json`, or use
`/projecte setEMC` in game.
---
### How the values are built
ProjectEMon prices only **root items** — the ones with no usable recipe, like apricorns, berries,
evolution stone shards, fossils and Mega Stones. Everything craftable is left to ProjectE's recipe
mapper, which derives it from Pixelmon's own recipes.
That means the entire Poké Ball crafting tree calculates itself from the price of an apricorn, and
the addon keeps working when Pixelmon changes a recipe.
A few examples of what ProjectE then works out on its own:
| Item | EMC |
|---|---|
| Apricorn | 32 |
| Poké Ball | ~96 |
| Great Ball | ~340 |
| Ultra Ball | ~2 554 |
| Fire Stone | 36 864 |
| Master Ball | 1 048 576 |
---
### Requirements
| | |
|---|---|
| **Minecraft** | 1.21.1 |
| **NeoForge** | 21.1.119 or newer |
| **Pixelmon** | 9.4.2 |
| **ProjectE** | 1.21.1-PE1.1.0 |
Both Pixelmon and ProjectE are **required**, on the client *and* the server. ProjectE syncs its EMC
map to clients, so a client missing this addon would see different values than the server.
---
### Installation
Drop Pixelmon, ProjectE and ProjectEMon into your `mods/` folder. That is all — ProjectE picks up the
new values the first time it builds its EMC map.
---
### Notes
- Pixelmon ore blocks have no EMC. That is ProjectE's own behaviour, not this addon's, and it exists
to stop Fortune and Silk Touch exploits.
- Pixelmon TCG items, quest items, badges and mail are not priced yet.
- Found a value that feels wrong? Open an issue — balance feedback is welcome.
