Description

How Protection Works

All four protection enchantments can be combined on the same armor set: Protection, Fire Protection, Blast Protection, and Projectile Protection.

Each enchantment level provides 6.25% damage reduction per armor piece. The reduction from all equipped armor pieces is added together, up to a maximum of 100% for each damage type. You need 16 total enchantment levels of a protection type across your armor to reach 100% reduction.

Special Effects at 100% Protection

  • Protection: Prevents knockback from weapon attacks.

  • Fire Protection: Prevents fire damage and stops you from burning.

  • Blast Protection: Prevents knockback from explosions.

  • Projectile Protection: Catches incoming arrows, snowballs, and thrown potions, adding them to your inventory. If your inventory is full, the projectiles drop instead.

These special effects activate when you reach 100% protection for the corresponding damage type.

The mod makes protection enchantments more flexible, allowing you to specialize your armor or combine all four types for maximum defense.
