About

Description

💡 The Protoblock is a lightweight mod intended to be used by pack devs, map makers, server owners etc.

With The Protoblock you can do a number of useful things. This is not meant to be used in Survival Mode, the block is unbreakable and not useable outside of Creative, similar to command blocks.

💬 Uses

  • Apply tags to items to disallow their use within a set radius (Works for most if not all item types)
  • Can be enabled or disabled via redstone signal
  • Disable enviromental damage within a set radius
  • Apply a local potion effect within a set radius
  • Disable flight within a set radius (Elytra, Creative Flight and most types of modded flight should be restricted)
  • Change users gamemodes within a set radius. (This is useful for dungeons or safe zones where you would like players to be in Adventure Mode or perhaps minigames where you would like players to be in Spectator mode. The player will always be changed back into Survival though when they leave the radius due to a limitation that is outside of the mods scope)

This was designed to be used in the upcoming modpack, MCE 2.
