Purple Infection

Once, these lands were peaceful.

Forests surrounded old houses and abandoned manors, while deep beneath the ground rested an ancient Fire Crystal. Its power protected the land and kept its inhabitants safe.

But someone wanted that power.

The crystal could not be destroyed, yet a crack appeared within it, draining most of its energy. Without its protection, something ancient began to awaken. Strange mushrooms spread through the forests and caves, infecting plants, creatures, and eventually the people who once lived there.

The infected became guardians of their former homes, while spores filled the air and slowly took control of anyone who stayed too long. The only way to resist the infection is a special Respirator.

Then, during a dark night, the ancient crystal sends a signal once again.

A strange crypt-castle appears among the infected lands. Somewhere inside lie fragments of the crystal and powerful items that may help stop the infection.

But reaching them won't be easy.

Fight your way through infected creatures, explore the crypt-castle, and face the Rotting Spore Fungus — a powerful creature protecting the remaining crystal fragments.

Defeat the boss, restore the crystal's power, and unlock its blessing. With it, the infection can no longer harm you, your strength will increase, and you will gain the ability to absorb the life force of your enemies.

But restoring the crystal may only be the beginning.

Who damaged the crystal? Why did the mushrooms appear? And can these lands truly be cleansed?

Installation

1. Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 1.20.1.
2. Download the Purple Infection .jar file.
3. Place the mod and all required dependencies into your .minecraft/mods folder.
4. Launch Minecraft using the Fabric profile.
