Quartzium

Preface

Quartzium is a mod inspired by 1.4.7 XyCraft. Despite this inspiration, Quartzium is in many ways different than XyCraft, and effort has been taken to refine and streamline the mod.  Recipes have been simplified, and emphasis shifted to decoration rather than technology. As such, Quartzium excludes many of the more technology oriented features in XyCraft. However, I feel that this is a benefit overall, since most of XyCraft's technology features are provided by other mods, and thus a focus on decoration and the magic parts emphasizes the unique aspects of XyCraft.

Blocks

All of Quartzium's blocks (excluding ores) are available in 16 colors, and some even have some interesting functions.

• Ore: Available in the 5 primary colors, drops 3-4 crystals (fortune dependent) when broken.
• Crystal: Can be placed in the world, and combined to form different colors. They break instantly, and have a light level of 7.
• Bricks: Stone Bricks, but made from Quartzium.
• Block: Storage for Quartzium Crystals.
• Plate: Has a blast resistance of 96, and can be used as a beacon base.
• Platform: Has a blast resistance of 30, breaks extremely quickly.
• Shield: Has a blast resistance of 336, can be used as a beacon base. Almost as resistant as obsidian.
• Engineering Bricks: Tiling hexagonal pattern engraved in bricks. Will be used to craft functional blocks.
• Lamp: Emits light, like a Redstone Lamp.
• Inverted Lamp: Inverted version of the Lamp.

Note: Quartzium adds some uncraftable functional blocks. These blocks will be craftable at a later date pending implementation, but were not included in the initial release due to time constraints. They do look nice though!
