Description

Questry

Datapack-driven quests. Design custom questlines, chapters, and tasks entirely through data and operated by the server.

Overview

Questry is a datapack-driven quest mod built for modpack creators who want rich, custom progression systems without writing a single line of code. All quest content is server-authoritative, questlines are organized into chapters and quests, each defined through simple JSON files that live entirely in your datapack, meaning quest content can be added, tweaked, or shared just like loot tables or recipes.

Features

  • Datapack-driven : every questline, chapter, and quest is plain JSON, no code required
  • Server-authoritative : all quest content and progress is controlled and validated server-side
  • Flexible tasks, including:
    • Gathering or crafting items
    • Defeating specific mobs
    • Visiting biomes, structures, or points of interest
    • Holding or wearing gear
    • Breaking or placing blocks
  • Flexible rewards : hand out everything at once, or let players choose between options
  • Polished in-game quest book with:
    • Chapter navigation
    • Live objective progress counters
    • Clear visual cues for available, completed, and unclaimed quests

Compatibility

Questry integrates with JEI and REI out of the box, players can see at a glance which quests require or reward any given item. Both integrations are fully optional.

More compability may come in the futur. If you think a compability could be a good idea, don't hesitate to leave a comment !
