Description
IMPORTANT: INTENDED TO BE PLAYED WITHOUT ANY OTHER MODS INSTALLED
This mod attempts to give the player a challenging survival experience set in a post-apocalyptic world! Below, I will have pretty much all the features in the mod listed, but some of the most notable include: Player spawns in a new dimension: The Wasteland This dimension is barren in terms of resources, and filled with dangerous creatures and biomes. There are currently 3 hostile, 1 neutral, and 1 passive mob. More of each of these are planned to be added. All of the current mobs are based on existing Minecraft mobs, but original creatures will be added eventually.
Biomes: Irradiated Desert: A desert with nothing but dead shrubs and the monsters to keep you company. Charred Forest: A once prosperous forest, now reduced to burnt bushes and grass. Charred Plains: Charred forest but plains (way less trees, more shrubs) Dry Ocean: An ocean without water. Because you know, its all, gone. Spawns the Charred Shipwreck structure.
Mobs: Crumbling Skeleton: The bows were all destroyed after the fallout, so now the skeletons throw themselves at you! Irradiated Zombie: Mutated zombie, faster, stronger, and far more persistent. Irradiated Creeper: Springs at you before exploding on contact with the ground. Irradiated Chicken: Who says chickens can't fly? 'Cause these sure can! Irradiated Cow: Better described as a bull than a cow. Has a short temper.
Notable Items/Blocks: Bone Shards: Skeleton projectiles spawn bone shards on the ground, which hurt any non-undead mob walking on them. Breaking these gives a chance to drop the bone shard item, or you can get that by killing a skeleton. Linen Scraps: Dropped by zombies, or alternatively obtained by having zombies snag their shirts on dead shrubs. Charred Bark: Dropped from charred logs. Used in various recipes, such as making wood, campfires, and charcoal. Long Stick: Made by putting three sticks together, this makeshift weapon also functions as the only way to break bone shards without taking damage. Bone Tools: All made with sticks, bone shards, and linen scraps. Worse than wooden tools, but get the job done. Ramshackle Slingshot: Shoots bone shards back at the monsters! Old Berries: Dropped from berry bushes that spawn naturally throughout the world, provides a food source in the extremely early stages of progression.
Enjoy the mod! Know that more is in the works! (assuming I'm not lazy)
