About

Description

RavenbrooksCraft is a 'Hello Neighbor' mod for Minecraft that captures the early art style from the early prototype to early Alpha 2 (Alpha 1.5).

The mod itself can be considered a furniture, building, and security mod for Adventure Mode (or survival with mining fatigue X), or roleplay. Build maps and minigames to create your own Ravenbrooks environment.

QUICK CREDITS: I'd like to thank everyone from both Hello Neighbor (and specially Hello Neighbor Reborn fangame) and Mcreator communities for helping with assets, feedback, and general coding! I'd like to also mention that the roof block design & cross board planks come from Hearth&Home Mod by Starfish_Studios! I'd recommend to play my mod with theirs for extra home-like decorations for your Ravenbrooks Town.
Big thanks to porta1_master09 for helping me with the new and updated promo screenshots.
The new metal chain fences texture/looks are from 'Dustrial Decor Mod by BlueDuck & wdspc123
I would like to also personally thank JosheryLemon who assisted me with car models and other objects, and 1Gold1 for helping finding models, textures, and playtest.

GAME MECHANICS:

  • Use right-click to interact or pick up objects (objects with actions need shift held down to pick up).
  • Man-traps (bear-traps) and vases give glowing effect when the player is punished.
  • Cupboards turn the player invisible when hiding inside.
  • Hammers and crowbars can remove any boarding planks with right click.
  • Keys can unlock/re-lock their respective locks using right click.
  • Shovels can dig grave dirt using right click.
  • Jackhammer can break fault bricks using right click.
  • Tomatoes thrown at players give them blindness.
  • Glues thrown at players give them slowness.
  • Rocks can break windows.
  • Window Glass Block can repair broken windows with right click.
  • Lockpicks have a 40% chance to open locks & 100% chance on Neutral Locks, one time use.
  • Fireworks blind players in its punishing range
  • Wireless energy/redstone using wands
  • Kettle can be heated over the Stove
  • The neighbor's car front can be triggered on impact
  • Neighbor Axe can break windows and doors, among other things
  • Invisible signs where you can type in a secret message (requires UV light)

OTHER QUIRKS:

  • Most if not all blocks have their own custom sounds (e.g. Raven Grass has the 22-ish grass footsteps from the original game).
  • Television (and its broken alt in extras) has all TV sounds and few custom sounds (strictly from the franchise).
  • Radio (and its broken alt in extras) has all radio sounds and few custom sounds (strictly from the franchise).
  • Box stacking is a thing again, but better! Also makes you jump a bit higher.
  • Chase music key binds (head to controls, key binds). They're Mr. Peterson's chases ONLY!! (lore-wise included). This means secret neighbor's chase wasn't included for being (technically) The Thing's chase music.
  • Neighbor soundboard from hn1 and hn2 key binds. Its exactly how it sounds like.
  • Most wooden floors have chances of playing a random creaking noise or a random_inside sound effect from the prototype.
  • Objects are held like in the games
  • Ride-able chairs, armchairs, and sofas
  • If you pan over a stove, it makes an unique cooking sound
