Description

Build your tower. Equip your ravens. Send them across the world.
When I was younger, I spent a lot of time watching birds. Ravens were always the most fascinating ones to me.
But being the coward that I am, I never really dared to get too close to them. I already knew how ridiculously intelligent these creatures actually are, and apparently that was enough for my brain to decide that keeping a safe distance was the reasonable thing to do.
Still, the idea of having a raven as a companion stuck in my head.
Years later, I transferred that idea into Minecraft.
And now, apparently, you have to live with the consequences.
Raven's Tower adds wild ravens that live and travel in flocks, search for food, build nests, raise their young and defend themselves if necessary.
Ravens can be caught and tamed, brought home and eventually trained for one of three professions.
Messengers carry letters, notes and books between connected Raven Towers.
Cargo Ravens transport items between towers and can accompany you on expeditions as mobile storage.
Hunters accompany you on expeditions, assist you in combat and can be commanded to attack targets, pick up items or small creatures and return to you.
And because simply owning a raven apparently wasn't complicated enough, you can build an entire infrastructure around them using the Raven's Desk, Wall Seals, cages, perches, artifacts, equipment and connected Raven Towers.
There are different feather variants to discover, equipment to craft, achievements to complete and additional parts of your tower infrastructure to unlock as you progress.
- Wild ravens with flock behavior
- Different feather variants with individual bonuses
- Nesting and young ravens
- Raven taming
- Build and manage your own Raven Tower
- Three raven professions: Messenger, Cargo and Hunter
- Send letters, books and items between connected towers
- Expeditions with Cargo and Hunter Ravens
- Raven equipment and armor
- Artifacts with different bonuses
- Five raven levels
- Achievements and unlockable items
- Shared towers for multiplayer
- Cross-dimensional travel through Nether portals
- Dedicated Craftwork Station with integrated recipe book

Raven's Tower is planned to grow beyond the main mod.
Future add-ons are planned to expand specific parts of the raven system with additional content and mechanics, while keeping the main mod focused on its core features.
Currently planned:
- Breeding & Brooding — expanding raven breeding and raising young ravens
- Dungeons — additional structures, challenges and rewards
- Raven Armor Display — dedicated displays for showcasing raven armor and equipment
These add-ons are planned for future development and are not part of the current release.
Find a wild raven and get it onto the ground.
Once you've managed to catch it with a lead, feed it wheat seeds until it decides that living with you might not be such a terrible idea after all.
Your newly tamed raven will follow you home, but it won't have a profession yet.
From there, build your first Raven Tower using a Wall Seal and a Raven's Desk.
The rest is explained in the handbook.
Because somehow this mod became complicated enough to need one.
Raven's Tower comes with a dedicated handbook covering the mod's mechanics in detail, including wild ravens, taming, tower infrastructure, professions, deliveries, expeditions and more.
The handbook has grown to approximately 53 pages, because apparently I had a lot more to explain than I originally expected.
So if you're wondering how something works, there is a reasonably good chance I already spent far too much time writing about it.
The handbook is available as a separate PDF download in English and German:
English is the primary version, but since I also speak German, I created a German version as well.
Supported Versions

Dependencies
- GeckoLib is required.
- Fabric API is additionally required for the Fabric version.
And naturally, I made the ravens a little stronger than they probably needed to be.
So have fun with the demons in my head.
They're your problem now.
