About
Description
Smoke in Minecraft has always been a few flat pixel squares floating upward. Realistic Smoke replaces it with real, simulated 3D smoke.
Every campfire, fire, and furnace now puts out a soft, billowing plume that's affected by the world around it. It rises, curls, drifts with the wind, and spreads along ceilings. Walls stop it, rooms fill up, and opening a door lets it pour out.
FEATURES
- Real 3D smoke that's simulated, not stacked sprites
- Lit by the sun and moon, with bright tops and shadowed undersides
- Blocked by walls and ceilings, so rooms fill up, doors let it out, and chimneys vent it
- Filters up through tree leaves
- Comes from campfires, fire, furnaces, smokers, and blast furnaces
- TNT and explosions leave a thick, dark cloud that slowly clears
- Big fires merge into one huge plume
- Swirls as you walk through it, and you can still see where you're going
- Drifts in the wind and clears faster in the rain
COMPATIBILITY- Client-side only: works in singleplayer and on any server, even if the server doesn't have it
