Hit or miss textures and a whole lotta blocks

This mod does what it says on the tin and I cannot fault it for working. If that's what your care about and you know you like mods like this just go and install it.

That being said, rechiseled is a port of older chisel mods with some updated textures and it shows. Many of the textures feel old, with far too high contrast or large areas of singular colours. There are definitely some really good textures in here as well, it just requires a lot of studying to find the blocks with the nice textures.

Furthermore, just due to the sheer number of blocks, this does increase loading time and world size noticeably especially if you build with a very large swatch of the available blocks. The performance isn't as much of an issue with mods like FerriteCore and ModernFix however.

My main issue with mods like this comes down to the core idea; providing so many variants of every block helps to make it so much harder to choose the right variant of block to use, leading to decision paralysis. While some of these blocks fall into nice niches, like vertical planks, other patterns seem added to just increase the block count and I often find them hard to use such as the large planks.

If you really want more blocks, give this mod a try, I would personally recommend chipped over this mod due to the textures however.
