Description
《 Refined Storage | Custom Disks JS 》
Refined Storage | Custom Disks JS is a KubeJS addon that lets you create your own Refined Storage item and fluid disks through startup scripts.
Custom disks use Refined Storage's normal storage system, so they work with regular drives, grids, networks, and storage handling.
《 Create Custom Disks 》
Put your disk definitions inside:
kubejs/startup_scripts
Then register them with RSDisks.
RSDisks.item('mega_disk', {
capacity: M(16),
name: '16M Storage Disk',
rarity: 'epic',
color: 0x000000,
tooltip: ['Endgame storage'],
creativeTab: true,
progressionTier: 'endgame'
})
RSDisks.fluid('mega_fluid_disk', {
capacity: B(1),
name: '1B Fluid Storage Disk',
color: 0x000000
})
These examples create:
customdisksjs:mega_diskcustomdisksjs:mega_fluid_disk
By default, custom disks use Refined Storage's normal disk sprite.
The optional color value changes the small indicator pixel on the disk.
《 Capacity Helpers 》
Storage sizes can be written with simple helpers:
K(1) // 1,000
M(1) // 1,000,000
B(1) // 1,000,000,000
So:
M(16)= 16 millionB(1)= 1 billion
Capacities use decimal values.
《 Recipes 》
Recipes use normal KubeJS recipe scripts inside:
kubejs/server_scripts
Example:
ServerEvents.recipes(event => {
event.shaped('customdisksjs:mega_disk', [
' ',
' D ',
' '
], {
D: 'minecraft:dirt'
})
})
Just use the registered disk ID as the recipe output and normal KubeJS syntax for everything else.
《 Modify Existing Disks 》
Existing or custom disks can be changed with:
RSDisks.modify('customdisksjs:mega_disk', {
capacity: M(32),
name: '32M Storage Disk',
rarity: 'rare',
tooltip: ['Updated storage tier']
})
This can also be used on supported Refined Storage disks.
《 Remove Disks 》
Remove a disk with:
RSDisks.remove('customdisksjs:mega_disk')
Removing an existing Refined Storage disk hides it from creative tabs while keeping existing item stacks valid.
Recipes can be removed separately through normal KubeJS recipe scripts.
《 Available Options 》
capacity— storage capacityname— display namerarity— common, uncommon, rare, epic, or a custom labeltooltip— one line or multiple tooltip linescolor— changes the stock disk indicator colortexture— custom texture overridemodel— custom model overridecreativeTab— show or hide the disk in the creative tabprogressionTier— adds a custom tier label to the tooltip
progressionTier is only a label and does not automatically lock crafting or usage.
《 Storage Limits 》
On Refined Storage 1.x, capacities above the signed 32-bit limit are rejected.
B(1) fits within that limit.
Larger capacities require newer Refined Storage versions.
Your disks. Your capacities. Your progression. All through KubeJS.
